Progress on the half bath

 The bathroom is SOOOO close to being done! We are getting really excited! We finished the wainscoting, finished grouting the tile, and hung our new, BEAUTIFUL light fixture!!!!


Next up....the floor!

We knew that to do our floor right, we needed to start at the front entry and work our way into the bathroom. That way any cuts would be on the far bathroom wall instead of right in the entryway itself.




So, we pulled up the old pergo flooring in the entry way and exposed the sub-floor.

The flooring goes in very easily! Literally snap and go! This is our big investment in the house so far, and it will carry into the kitchen, dining room and family room - the entire main floor.    We updated the outdated (gold) vent covers as well while we were at it!



The bathroom was a tricky space, but with my mad measuring skills and Joe's exceptional cutting skills....we did an awesome job! 

Next up--- we will finish off the floors with quarter round. Then we can put the toilet in, the vanity, etc. Finishing touches now!!!!
